Tonight at KK’s Steel Mill, doors opened at 7:00 O'clock and a queue already buzzing with anticipation everyone came ready to party! Spike and the gang returned to town with a powerhouse supporting lineup featuring The Soho Dukes and The Karma Effect.
Opening the night were those cheeky London Town bovver boys, The Soho Dukes (8) currently one of Spike's favourite bands. They kicked things off with swagger, high energy, and plenty of raw rock 'n' roll attitude to get the room warmed up.
Hot prospects The Karma Effect (9) took the stage next, raising the temperature even further. With their soulful, hard-hitting classic rock sound and undeniable stage presence, they proved exactly why they are one of the most talked-about rising bands on the scene right now.
When The Quireboys (10) took to the stage, it instantly turned into a full-blown party. The current lineup features, Luke Morley (guitar), Neil Mogg (bass), Willie Dowling (keys), Harry James (drums) and of course Spike himself up front.
This is quite possibly the best and tightest line-up the band has ever put together. The musical prowess on display was incredible, but what really shone through was the camaraderie—the constant banter and genuine grins made it clear they were having absolute fun up there.
The band ripped through a hit-packed setlist. From the bluesy swagger of Misled and Whippin' Boy to the powerhouse singalongs during classics like Hey You and 7 O'Clock, the crowd lapped it up and sang along to everything. The emotional delivery of I Don't Love You Anymore provided a towering moment before bringing the house down.
It was classic Quireboys at their absolute finest—unapologetic, high-octane rock 'n' roll delivered with massive smiles and top-tier musicianship. Spike is one of our last rock ‘n’ roll hedonists, and long may it continue!
