Bloodstock Metal To The Masses South Wales 2025: Interview With Lead By Lies (Swansea Heat #2)

Bloodstock Metal To The Masses South Wales 2025

1. Please introduce yourself for anyone who may not know you. Tell us a little bit more about you as a band.

We are Lead By Lies. A Welsh four piece hard rock/metal band from the Cardiff area. The band started in 2016 but the current line up of 4 caffeinated chuggers started playing together in 2022. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Bullet For My Valentine, Alice in Chains and Tremonti we make music for people who miss playing Tony Hawk pro skater 2 and Guitar Hero. We have our full catalogue on Spotify and are excited to have a new single ‘Forever’ releasing on March 14th.

2. What made you want to participate in the Metal To The Masses South Wales 2025 campaign? Have you had previous experience? Or is this your first time?

This will be our second rodeo in M2TM, the first being in 2019 when we thought we were Killswitch Engage (we weren’t trust me). We want to take part again this year to prove that the softer sub genres of metal can still pack a punch.

3. M2TM is all about supporting your local scene. How important is the local scene to you as a band?

The local scene is an integral part of any artist’s journey; it’s a melting pot of diverse genres and talents that offer a lot of inspiration. The challenges that the smaller venues and artists are currently facing making it more important than ever to make genuine connections and support each other. We are proud to be a part of the rich South Wales’ scene.

4. What are your expectations from being a part of M2TM?

We are looking forward to being a part of this year’s M2TM and have the opportunity for our music to reach new people. We are also excited to see the other artists performances, make new friends and just enjoy the experience.

5. What would playing a Sold Out Bloodstock Festival mean to you?

The progression of being in the crowd to performing for a crowd is a dream for all of us. To have the opportunity to play a festival like Bloodstock that has such a rich history and continues to unite metal fans would be an honour.

6. We encourage all the bands in M2TM to try and check out the other bands, who are you most looking forward to? Who should your fans also try to catch?

There are many bands on this years line up that we are fans of or had the pleasure of already playing alongside - including AKUMA, State of Deceit and Bleed the Fifth. We are looking forward to seeing them play again but we also are excited for the potential to find a new artist to rock out to! We would recommend everyone to check as many of the bands out as you can because you never know when you’ll find the next big thing.
